Opinion Editor, The Medium

I was the Opinion section editor of the University of Toronto Mississauga’s independent newspaper from 2021-2022. Here, I shaped the direction of the section to feature articles about global political issues that affected the student community to foster an inclusive and safe space for dialogue.

I pitched and edited 6-7 articles per week, tripling the volume of articles published in each issue in comparison to the previous volume. I reintroduced Letters to the Editors, weekly columns and the satire section. I also developed a training manual to help authors write argumentative articles. Below I have featured a few articles I wrote during my tenure.
